Shawn McLaughlin has invested the better part of his life studying and creating film and television. Shawn was a producer on the critically acclaimed Canadian feature Hit n. Strum. He and his writing and producing partner Michael Mityok won the 2011 LA Screenplay Festival Grand Prize for their horror feature Widow Lake. Shawn was nominated for 6 Leo Awards, including Best Picture, for his first film Three Rings, and he and Michael were Top Finalists in the inaugural CineCoup Film Accelerator with their feature thriller The Fall (Trigger Happy). Shawn is presently developing Widow Lake, Trigger Happy and Wanton, a thriller by Academy Nicholl Semifinalist & indie horror darling John Ainslie.

Michael Mityok is an award-winning screenwriter and an education and technology entrepreneur. Building successful entrepreneurial ventures has armed him with an useful perspective as a creative in the entertainment industry, and he is now moving into co-producing via his Marauder Films the feature Trigger Happy, which he co-wrote alongside his long-time writing and business partner Shawn McLaughlin. Michael’s next project is based on a screenplay titled Widow Lake, which he also co-wrote with Shawn. Michael is committed to writing and producing thought-provoking projects that maximize every dollar spent.
